I started at i think 3 with my mother in law and i had to go back and watch seasons one and two in order to know what was really going on. The reason i say season 5 is because its 4 - 41/2 years later so things are a little different. they give you some history and you should be able to keep up with whats going on. Again, your not going to understand the underlying things that are going on tho. you can start at season 5 if you just want the new stuff but to really understand the dynamics season 1 would be best. One of these days, gonna have to buy the first three on DVD. Oh, and get used to these people always calling each other by their first and last names. Drives me freakin' nuts sometimes!
